Description

Quilters Pre-shrunk Calico is a plain-woven fabric made from unbleached seeded cotton – a high quality finished fabric, soft to touch and perfect for many craft and quilting projects.

Washing Instructions – Manufacturer says: 30 degree machine wash. Cool tumble dry. We strongly recommend testing a small piece first to be sure.

Uses

This medium weight quilting / craft cotton is suitable for patchwork and quilting along with many craft uses such as bags, purses, cushions, curtains and clothing.

For curtains you will need a suitable backing fabric as this will not block out the light on its own. We do not sell curtain backing.

For dressmaking it tends to be less soft and have a stiffer drape than apparel cotton. It is best suited to garments that require little to no stretch, are structured and loose fitting. We also sell jersey licensed fabrics.
